Most Overrated Weapon

What do you think is the most overrated weapon. THe ones in this poll are the ones that everybody brags about such as: OMG, the F2000 is so good, i've outsniped snipers. But that's a small chance realy do. So i'm setting up a poll with imo the eight most overrated weapons:
G36C Although accurate, often depicted as more accurate than it really is.
L85 It's a flip-flop, i hear a lot that it's a TOTALLY AWESOME weapon, even though it's accuracy isn't great.
DAO-12 I've seen way too many people saying that the DAO is total pwnage, but it doesn't have any range, so i doubt it.
F2000 Highly regarded nowadays as THE best weapon. I think it's not as accurate nor as powerful as people say it is.
PKM Although it's a good weapon, its not how good some people say it is.
G36E again, although very accurate, it's not AS good as SOME people say it is in this forum.
AK101 often it is just overrated in all catagories in this forum
Other, just say so in forum.

BTW, i say the F2000, as it is WAY overrated in this forum.

Are you saying that because in your opinion it actually is overpowered. Or are u just saying that to **** me off as you're doing the opposite of what i asked for in this thread?

f2000 - not so accurate imho. g36e and l85 are as good as they say imho - i love them for runnin around and sniping

PKM, people always say, o th epkm is very acurate, great gun, i got it and it totaly blows.

pkm, yeh its a good gun, but everyones like 'its total ownage' only if ur in a secure spot and are beeing watched, cant run around with it

L85 is the most overrated. M16, AK 101, AK47 are all better at close to medium range. It has a scope...... thats inacurate . How people can vote for anything with a n00b tube attached to it as overrated..... is beyond me.

I think the AK-101 is overrated, people even go as far as bitching about it when I see it as pretty normal and balanced. I've had fun with the L85, but I'm not so impressed with it anymore, as it just doesn't have the power.

Oh and let's not forget the PKM. People worship it yet I can't hit the broad side of a barn with the damn thing, though it's had it's moments.

As for the F2000 I don't understand how anyone can agree that it's balanced? Maybe I've just had horrible luck but every time I engage someone that has it, I'm slaughtered in what seems to be an instant shot. Plus it has the noob tube on it, and that only makes things 10x worse. Seems to me the thing is underpowered if anything, it feels like a cheat to fire. Hm..

I mean, i bet you 100 bucks that if you gave a F2000 worshipper an AK101 that looks like a F2000 he'll do better than if you gave him a normal looking AK101 lol.

Good point. The stats on the weapons do say alot but I think the look and sounds of the gun etc. really effect how they use it. If they feel that it's *their* gun then perhaps they just feel more comfortable and pwn with it.

How do you feel about the PKM?

It makes me feel like "rambo" y'know the sound of that gun. BUt yet again, i've been killed many a times when using that weapon.

AK101 is the ro><0r. I always dismissed it for the unlocks, but I was getting my ass handed to me one day by it, and decided to try it out. I'd 8 out of 10 toe to toe firefights it prevails, and it's accurate enough on single shot for more long range shots.

Without a doubt I'd say the L85 is more over rated, I like it more than the M16A2, but will always pick up the AK when I find it, only problem is, most people are using the G36E instead .

My vote is for the F2000. The recoil on that thing is horrible even in single shot mode. Only good part is the GL. Next I would have to say is the PKM. Even though I enjoy it, I have to be with a squad so they get the enemy's attention and I can sit back and mow them down. In a one on one fight if I don't get the first couple of shots, I am dead.

my opinions on each of these weapons are:
(as a preface, being overrated is not the same as being a good or bad weapon, it is a whole different beast. perception is key.)
G36C- good weapon, but probably somewhat overrated. I agree that some people think it aim better than most anything, but its accuracy isn't that great. it does have great accuracy, but not the incredible accuracy people ascribe to it.
L85-worse than the 3 basic assault rifles. it is extremely weak in comparison, and with the other weapons you can snipe, but not as well. one of the most overrated weapons mainly because 2/3 of medics ran around with it before SF and the G36E
DAO- it has a lot more range than you expect, and pistolwhippage is always a decent option. it's not preferable, but when you can kill EVERYONE near you, you just have to know when and when not to use it.
F2000- is the best weapon. it deserves its high rating because it is a better sniper rifle than the L85 and it is pretty close to the SVD and the type 88 just because the f2k does so much damage with each shot. sure it's not great when shooting in close quarters, but that's what the nade launcher's for. it's like a G3 with its deadly single shot, but it has the nade launcher too!!! it is probably a little overrated just because people rate it so astronomically high.
PKM- I think it has awesome accuracy for a LMG. you just have to keep shooting, but if you hit things, they'll go down FAST. it just takes a while to get a bead on people sometimes. for this reason it is a little overrated, but not much.
G36E- also an amazing weapon, but I agree with you in that it isn't as good as some people say, and a ton of medics use it now. in this respect I think it is overrated because it is not as good as the ak-47 and it is about as good as the ak-101. for this reason it is overrated a good deal.
AK-101- I think I personally overrate this baby a good deal, but I love it in close quarters. Most people underrate this weapon, and that is why so many people say that it is awesome. us ak-101 lovers are just trying to convince the rest of you that you're all fools.

before sf, the most overrated was definitely the the L85, but now that nobody uses it anymore (see G36E), the most overrated weapon is eaither the G36E or the F2000. this is not to say that these guns aren't awesome because they are, but rather that people overvalue them in their worship of the two guns. if I had to choose one I would say the G36E, but that's just because I'm an ak lover and a medic at heart :p.
