    Battlefield anatomy

Lets start with theory. Currently all fighting are just like in middle ages. Crowd against crowd. In that situation any more powerful weapon gets huge advantage. Is it tank, chopper or plane. And there's people who complain about something being overpowered.

So if you are new here, play as team, stick together and you have higher chance to survive.

What are your tips in teamwork (formation, equipment etc)?

:) I've found that of course being in a Public server makes teamwork all that more difficult because no-one really cares, occassionaly you get a good squad, SF is pretty good for teamwork as its more Infantry orientated.

I like to move around in map in pairs or three's I generally go out of my way to attack any enemy position from behind or relocate out of a battlezone (if we are losing big time for example) and take cover nearby wait untill the fighting has stopped and most of enemy and allies have moved on then move in alone or in a squad and retake. I just can't understanding why people throw themselves at the enemys best defend position or follow everyone in the same way, you are almost guaranteed to get mown down with the rest of sheep.

My best advice is take your time, don't shoot at every enemy you see (unless you know you can take down with ease) concealing yourself and your movements and going un detected can sometimes be more beneficial than trying to blast your way through like Han Solo.

I've found although I'm new to BF2 I can be just as effective as more experienced players by just altering your thinking. You see an alleyway that 8 of your guys have just ran down? Don't just follow them mindlessly into battle, look at the map plot a rough plan of action, move in in your own time and allow space in your plan for unexpected arrivals, always move from cover to cover, theres nothing more exciting to a sniper then charlie laying in the middle of a road.

Try to make sure you have atleast 1 medic in your squad, use group transport, most of all communicate people goddamnit communicate!

Always join or create a squad, except when you want to go sniping.
Variety in kits in the squad is the best. At least 1 ammo and 1 medic is nice.
Many times find a server where almost everybody is sniper or special ops.

WHY do many special ops walk past the controlstation, artillery and communicationcenter and don't blow them up!????? It's such a disadvantage for a team to dont haven RPV and Artillery and scanning options!!!:cussing: :wall: (they **** me off a little bit)

Also for engineers, when commander-objects are destroyed... please fix them.. it will support you as well!

Always spawn near the squad-leader except when you know he's infront of a tank or bein rained-down with artillery.

Defend important positions when owning more flags than the enemy. Do not leave all the flags and all together attack 1 flag. Seen allot. And always theres a smart enemy walking/driving on its own taking undefended flags, and then they respawn from every posiion

Throw your support-presents everywhere where people defent, take cover, or attack. As a medic dont go into the front of the fight, stay behind a little and put priority in healing the squad-leader, for other squad members respawn at his position.

        sticking togheter helps,

some days ago I was commander for the mec on a night map, and the US side , the whole team, like 30 people (was 64 server) , was like sticking togheter and nothing could stop them, they took one flag, and then you saw all the red dots fighting there way to the next flag, this way they took over every flag and they where unstopable, only downside, arty took lots of them out, but not enough.

but in general, as a squad of 4-6 people, and you stick togheter, you make a big chance to take the flag you want, and once at the flag, they can keep spawning at the leader, the caping go's very fast.

Yeah, sheep factor is pretty common. If you work as a team, you have higher percentage of getting k/d ratio up. Simple. Team of 5 people against 2. Your team has advantage.

Yeah but most of the people aren't in your squad. If they were fine I'd go in with them, but people just follow each other. Stats aren't everything.
