How many unlocks do you get when you purchase locally the software.Some say as many as three come with the software.Now say you purchased a second new disc would you get unlocks with it also if you played the game with a different character.And what if it was on the same computer.Curious has anybody tried it.

Hope you don't mind if I ask a question here save making a new thread,
I've only recently started playing BF2 about two weeks to be exact, only last night did I buy and play SF and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
But, I'm still baffeled as to the new wepons, I have no unlocks as I'm pretty new and I was practicing on the unranked servers to begin with. But with SF do I have unlock the new guns or do you have the select them as an option somewhere? I want the G3
P.S. I'm bored of the old guns except the 203 and the M16 I think the Medic has?Comment

Dont freak if you wont get your promotion excactly when you hit the point mark (statservers are know to be slow in this game)...
Once you have gotten your promotion, you log out and back in... then You should be presented with a screen where you can choose unlocks...
I dont have SF, but have heard (somewhere) that SF owners get 2 unlocks...Comment

Ive got 3unlocks and i dont have BF2:SF LoL just get a Buddy to sign in to BF2:SF with your name..... It worked for me.....Comment

Theres a server for you all the bf2 and bf2sf weapons are unlocked. Its deffinatly best to try them out first before you unlock them saves any dissapointment. And if i read right you want the L85A1 its a great unlock brilliant at long ranges but very hard to master in cqb situations so try it out and compare it to the other unlocks see if you like them better.Comment
