hello, is this good?

i got a new computer from dell a while back and i want to know if its any good and what settings i can play battlefield 2 at. i upgraded a little bit and im gonna buy both bf2 and sf very soon.

intel pentium 4 3.0ghz
nvidia 6800 256mb
logitech mx518
1gb of ddr2 ram (getting 1gb for christmas)
19" iiyama crt monitor (i really want a lcd)

and some ligitech x230? speakers.

You should be able to run at mostly high, some medium. Once you get the 2GB I would guess 99% high. Also look into getting a sound card, it will help performance.

I've been noticing that a lot (that people with soundcards have better peformance). At first I wasn't even planning on a sound card except maybe as my last add just to "finish it off", because the onboard sound is so great (it really is), but if it takes some pressure off the game then it's worth it. I thought it's cpu that get's taxed with onboard sound? But with or without my cpu overclock, I run at the same fps.

yeh i run onboard and soundcard at same time .

onboard using for mic /winamp
soundcard for vids

So what do you do, plug your speakers in depending on which you're using, or use a Y adapter to plug them into both at the same time. If the latter, and if you're experiencing problems getting it to go loud enough, that's why.
