Kill Streak question

I just got an 86 kill streaK on a 64 player Wake. It was one of those rounds where I could do no wrong and I was hitting everything. I had to quit after that round to do some stuff. My question is.....will my kill streak go up if I dont die on future rounds?

however I have both a kill and death streak of 13

No, your kill and death streaks end at the end of each round.

those super high kill streaks are very hard to get anymore now that a lot of players are advanced in the game. My highest was 39, and that was from being commander and bombing the crap out of guys

He obviously was just bombing bases and probably ignoring other jets

But I never knew kill streaks worked inbetween rounds.

This is correct. My streak is over two rounds. (38 + 2)

I would have an answer for you, but for my next round, I joined a game playing Clean Sweep. I spawned as US right as the MEC bomber hit us...aaaarrgghh..thats frustrating.
On the Wake map, I wasnt ignoring the other jets, I just wasnt letting anyone off the carrier. They had the 2 AA's and the one on the island up too. I allways hit those first before the boats and choppers.

They continue between rounds! Holy COW! I got my 25 using the PKM and nades in karkand, round ended and I charged in next round happy with my honest 25 and promptly got nialed if only i had known! NUTS!
