This game generally runs fine for me, except for one thing:
LOADING! It takes probably a good 5-10 minutes to go from the initial double clicking on the BF2 Icon to being in a game that I want to be in.
I remember a while back that there was some command you could enter in the BF2 shortcut to disable the intro movies. What was this command? This alone would probably save a minute or so.
My biggest beef, though, is that the game automatically loads up a server after I connect to my account. Let me describe in more detail:
Once you get past the intro movies, it brings up that window that shows your account name and that window saying "OPTIMIZE YOUR DRIVER SETTINGS BLAH BLAH BLAH" that never seems to go away despite the fact that I do, in fact, have the latest drivers for my video card (HOW CAN I MAKE THIS WINDOW GO AWAY!?).
So, I click on my account and hit log in. Now, I get to spend the next 4 or 5 minutes waiting as it finds some server and connects me to it, instead of letting me go directly to the server listing screen.
Why is it doing this!? I don't want it to autoload some server! Just load up quickly and let me choose my own server!
Please, someone, help me with this! It's driving me up the wall!
