All Seeing Eye (ASE), problem

Is SP compatible with ASE or do I have to install my nemesis “gamespy” witch I don’t really want to do. Or is there any other sever program I should be using.

It works but you have to do some manual tweaking.

Download his filter.txt file here.

Backup your existing filters.txt first and replace it with the one downloaded above.

No changes to the filter.txt file downloaded are needed. It's better to leave the filters file alone because if Eck's releases the next filter update it will overwrite the one you have modified. Therefore Eck's, please release the filter like Freeze has written because it works.

Next, open ASE. Go to tools>options>games and add to the BF2 Program Location string. See pic's




"E:\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +username xxxxxx +playerPassword xxxxxx

xxxxxx = your username and then password.

By doing this, both BF2 and BF2:SF works perfectly.
