Got a question about the maps and mods I downloaded.

I just downloaded and installed that blackhawk down map, and some mercenaries_2.0 mod.

How can I play these mods against other people on ranked servers? Do I have to turn off the mercenaries_2.0 mod so as to not be cheating and be banned? DETAILS!!!

only maps and mods approved by EA are ranked. Therefore plain jane BF2, Wake Island 2007, and SF maps/mod are ranked. Everything else you're just "having fun"

Well that stinks.. Oh I trashed that mod because I got sick of trying to make it work..

yeah, I am addicted to ranked play. If I play something else, I feel like I'm wasting time not getting points/time/rank/awards. I now wish all my other games had the same system. (Not that it doesn't have flaws) But this has stopped me from installing other mods and maps, though I'm sure they're brilliant.

Also the Mercenaries mod is up to version 6.0 now so you may want to try that if you are interested in unranked or SP/coop.

merc has a instal file so it should be quite simple..............and to run it goto community--> custom games -->merc
