problems with bf2 sf - please help!

Ok, well today is my birthday! and my super wife bought me bf2 sf! (even tho the amount of time i spend on bf2 has us in counselling!) (Joke).

So i installed sf after work today and loaded a map, only to be told: 'This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. revert your version of bf2 to the current official version to join'.

PLEASE HELP! I have not modified anything! I went back to play bf2 and it worked fine so it is obviously sf related. Please save my birthday from upset and advise!

Have you installed the 1.12 patch? If not then install it, that might be the problem.

yes i have done (for bf2) do i need to install it for bf2 sf?

If you installed the patch when you only had BF2 and then installed SF after, I believe you'll need to install the patch again.

you right after installing bf2 SF you must install patch second time

if this will not help so you need to reinstall BF2 original after bf2 SF and then the patch

Tell your Wife (You lucky dog..have a wife that will buy you BF2) to look in the bargain bin for Robot Arena Design & Destroy. It is a most excellent game for us older folks (by your post and manner I am assuming you are over 30) It almost died out,(since it came out three years ago) but has a lot of new players lately. http://www.robotarena.com/wizforum/default.asp

LOL....We need a server for the elderly as I have seen several posts about it. If there is interest I will maintain a server just for the over 30 group.
And just so you know...yes,I am over 30, infact if you are early 30's I am old enough to be your Daddy.
