SLI 7800 GTX 2x

Does anyone have 2 7800 GTX cards in SLI? What has your experience been thus far? Are you encountering any crashes? Do you feel that these two cards are giving you a noticeable difference in performance vs. just 1 7800 GTX card?

I'm asking because I'm configuring a new SLI enabled PC and wondering if it's worth dishing out the extra 500 bucks for another 7800 GTX card for a technology that is new and may cause more headaches than benefits.

My buddy who's building the PC thinks I'm getting greedy for even mentioning a second card.

2 gigs Ram

650 W power unit
250 gigs SATA drive
120 gig SATA II drive
Nvidia 7800 GTX 256mb

I'd go with a 512MB GTX instead of two 256MB GTX's.

I wish I could but my guy doesn't have any 512s in stock - he says that the initial asking price for the 512s are going to be ridiculous. :hmm:

Why bother (for BF2 that is)....
I run 1920x1440, all on highest and 4x AA with only one 7800GTX and two gigs RAM, smoother than silk... But hey, if you're a lottery winner, go ahead...

No issue's, i started running the extreme drivers and gameplay is smooth.
