< 50 hrs of play time and I'm hooked

I figured out the other day that I was seriously hooked on BF2.

When it first came out.. I didn't get it.. just figured like alot of the new games I bought this year I would always end up back at CS within a week.

Not so!
I was tipped off to being addicted.. when I started seeing things in real life differently. Like all the cranes I see near the beach building the high rises.. the fact that I started substituting "Starlight" for cussing when I hurt myself (stub my toe etc)
the fact that my 5 year old daughter looks at the flag in the front lawn and asks me if the bad guys are going to come and try to cap it. (seriously) She plays too.. and stopped drawing butterflies and flowers .. now its parachutes, dudes with guns.. helicopters.. etc. lol. i cant wait to get the call from her teacher.

(except he probably plays too.)

see my next post in a few weeks when I speak of how it cost me my marriage LOL.

LMFAO!!! Classic. She is going to be quite a gamer if she isn't already.

(on edit)My girlfriend is totally surprised by this game. I have about 200 hours already and haven't even begun to get sick of it (I just can't play the extremely long sessions I could right at the begining). She said to me, "normally, you get sick of a game within a month and start playing less and less. . .I have seen none of this with this game."

Trully addicting. Seriously, I smoke less pot and drink less now.. . no time, must play game.

nah.. she will be fine. its not like its GTA3 or some crap like that.

I should mention that I was in the Marines for 8 years.. so that might add to the whole drawing bit as well. She does equate the game to daddy's old job.
in addition.. they are happy things.. not like a lot of killing.. just flying, running zip lining etc.

she mostly likes to fly jets. (or slam them into the dirt within 15 seconds). (she plays single player only right now)

She'll turn out just fine

It's just that when the other kids fall down and hurt their knee, they yell "mommyyy!!" wheras she will yell "Mediiic!"

When the others write their names on exam papers, she will write hers with a clantag in front of it.

When they play dodgeball at school, she will be the only one compulsively yelling "Kumbullah!!" everytime she throws the ball.

She'll be repeatedly called to the principles office for stealing other pupils' pen cases, and all she has to say will be "i wanted to change kit coz i ran out of lead"

Even worse, she can't stop calling the principle a Commander.

She will later be fired from her job as a car mechanic, bcoz she just didn't realize that she can't fix a car by sitting in another car next to it with a wrench in her hand.

She would've been the only person saying "I refuse to fight in Vietnam bcoz i'm going for the war college ribbon" if she had lived at that time.

Say "Grenaaaade" when dropping of some mail

Yea i have been playing Bf2 for almost 250hrs my self and i am really hooked on this game i always play it evey day and i get about 500-1000 points a day. I really like the new expansion pack to its great.

i have 800+ hrs and im still hooked just carn't leave it alone i have used every single cup,plate,spoon,fork,knife,in the house thinking of getting some paper plates and some plastic knifes n forks.do you think i need help or what

i'd had a big session on bf2 when it came out and while walking thru town later on (in real life), seriously thought of pressing my mouse button to zoom in on something in the distance.
