Incorrect No. of Unlocks?

I just bought SF and I only got 1 bonus unlock, from every thing I've read so far I expected to get 2. I'm at the rank of sergeant with three unlocks; AT, Spec Ops & Assault. I realise I won't get one for the AT unlock but both the others can be unlocked further. Did I get the correct amount of unlocks or did I get ripped off? If someone can shed some light on the subject that would be great.

From what I understand, whilst there are 7 unlocks in vanilla, 5 in sf, they merged them so that you're last of the seven unlocks is tied in with the last of the 5. Thus I guessing you're first 2 vanilla unlocks receive no sf unlocks. Thus only your third unlock allows you the one sf unlock. Hope that makes sense and I'm not spouting crap. :)

That makes more sense than what I had read. If someone can confirm that is how it works that would be good.

That makes sense...first I have heard of the reasoning, or that it happened that way. I got 5 unlocks with sf, so it was a non issue for me and I did not have to look into it. Guess I am not much help here - lol.

I will become a First Sergeant in less than a week. So right now I have 8 unlocks. . .will I get one or two more unlocks because I have SF? This is something that hasn't been clear to me.

I'm taking from that you're at the moment you're a gunnery sergeant, in which case you will receive two, one vanilla and one sf.

in order t ounlock ur sf weapons u must unlock the career weapon in bf2 first then the 3rd unlock (sf) is able to unlock.
u cant unlock the sf weapon unless u have both weapons unlocked for the career u picked ie medic,spec.
i have all my unlocks un locked apart from the engineer the last bf2 unlock an the sf unlock ive not unlocked these as i dont use that roll at all.
the new unlocks work the same way as the new stat system worked every other kill an point earned gets u a new unlock,
i had 2 unlocks ready when i install sf then when i started to play an got points i got more unlocks.
