Wasn't optimized properly. Heaps of issies with it, some people run it fine, some dont. It was rushed out for the new expansion. Its bsically a patch that needs patching. There are 1.0.3 servers outhere, just not many..

1.03 made me not play the game for over a month. Now with 1.12 I can play without crap. EA sucks as usual. I have never experienced suck a lapse of customer support and product resolution in my life.

this is the first patch which has stuffed up few things for me too, all the other patches worked fine for me, but this ones odd., it even changed my dam editor and added in some jeep which has no textures lol, so what the bet there will be a new patch soon, well they planning a new editor so they will need some patches i guess

lucky for me the mod leader at surreal mod was able to fix the editor issues, i had

I think the problem is that its a mass patch meaning it basically does every change since the original unpatched copy of BF2. Somehow they haven't optimized it properly, rushed it and now its causes much annoyance. It was made to update SF itself and make it compotable with Bf2 but they just ****ed it up. I had to reduce my settings from High to Medium for it to run properly. Its ridiculous. It still lags on medium too. Memory leak issue perhaps.

ah you hit the nail on the head m8 memory leaks, yes that it, i do recall once b4 on another it to had memory leaks, but the next patch fixed that one, ok so this patch , has given me the same problem, i m lucky that it only happens some times, yeah i to played on high, too but know i play on medium lol

i just hope theres a fix soon,

Yep the original bf2 copy had a memory leak and it was fixed in the first patch to come out. This 1.12 has caused heaps of grief to thousands out their playing BF2. Wonder what happed to 04-1.11 ?
