81.95 nVIDIA killed BF2

man im ****ed.
Just spent all afternoon tweaking PC for BF2. decided to finish up with the new 81.95 from nVIDIA. so i do that, then wadda know!!! BF2 wont run! omgwtfbbqakdfhklsdfklj buggy ass pieceos

ya the 81.95's killed my BF2 performance also, wont use them anymore

no, it didnt kill my perfomance, BF2 will not open at all. i just tried reinstalling too

i went back to the 77.77 drivers,i didnt like how the 81.95 made my performance run on my pc

im running the 81.95 xtreme driver from tweaksrus.com, its tweaked for bf2, works for me???

I had a few issues with that driver also..not sure why, but i rolled back my drivers and it's a bit better.
I wonder if the 81.95 xtreme will work better...could i have the llink for that please markus1012??

the game wont open at all when you double click the shortcut? if so that sounds like it's not your video driver thats at fault, if it DOES run from the shortcut but brings you back to desktop before it loads up it may be your sound driver.

Delete your cache.

If that doesn't work, delete the entire Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents.

Did you use Driver Cleaner Pro during the driver upgrade process?

I also use the XG drivers from TweaksRus

I deleted my cache already, and i just uninstalled and reinstalled BF2 again BTW, still nothing

Well, you said you tweaked your computer a lot so how do you know it was the driver... Atho it probably is the driver because it seems like a lot of people are having simlar problems with it but you shouldn't be so sure.

I also had problems using the 81.95 drivers. Lots of stuttering and freezes. It was doing my head in. I then tried the 81.95 extreme drivers as mentioned by markus, runs like a dream now. Cannot believe the difference. Check them out.
