Hmm... $10 for more weapons, vehicles, and maps? Depending on how they implemented it, I'd be rather interested.

Are you kidding? new vehicles maps and weapons should be released ONLY in patches! This is insane! If they charge for maps, I swear on my life I will never purchase a Battlefield series game ever again.

Would you preffer to play $30 for about the same thing?
Really, I do think it would be rather cool to be able to pick up a COLLECTION of new maps and toys for $10. I don't need fancy intro renders. I don't need new theam music. I don't need any of the fringe stuff that goes into a expansion that isn't directly game related.

If they can cut their costs by just releasing content and passing that savings along, I'm more than interested in the idea.

On the otherhand, I don't think this precludes them throwing a bone out to the community.

Maybe for every booster pack, they should release 1 map to the general public for free. It would make good business sence since if the free maps are solid, it would drum up interest in the rest.

If each booster pack included a "free sample," I'd be considerably less against the idea.

I'm still wary that it'd turn into a "buy it to compete" deal. We already know that the people with the booster packs would need to play with the population at large, otherwise they'll seriously fragment the community. With so much new stuff going in, balance would be a nightmare. Basically I don't have enough faith in DICE/EA to do it right for them to do it at all.

why would a booster pack cost $10!!! thats outrageous, mods are pretty much free.
