I need some tips on Chopper dogfighting!!!!

I have been learning ALOT on chopper dog fighting this week....
#1... once in battle/view of an enemy chopper, NEVER turn your back side to him...
#2.... get a mutli button mouse (if you are using a mouse) and program the Rear View (default is F10) and another button for cockpit view (default is F9)
#3.... A gunner is a good thing.... Teach them TVM... Line them up, once they fire you can move...
#4..... Practice.....makes you better... never perfect or are u... -

And of course, fly by friendly AA and 50 cals, occassionally it is of more merit to sacrifice altitude to be by a friendly/neutral helopad to repair while they waste hellfires on ya.Comment

only rule is get above him, if he's skilled (like me) and he/me gets above you your dead.

do barrel rolls and try to lose him. to to come from his side/behind and give your gunner a shot.Comment

A good gunner helps... and I mean GOOD...
One that doesn't pop of chain gun rounds at a distance so damn far away... Train your gunner.... Teach them the TVM....
If the other chopper doesn't see you coming they are almost SURELY toast from good gunner/TVM...... Chain gun is good for infantry and unarmored vehicles.... and at best.... finishing off a smoking chopper..... with 3-4 rockets in it...Comment

Get close to him (almost point blank) and unload as fast as you can. Make sure your gunner is shooting cockpit if possible to kill the pilot, you can also shoot missiles into the cockpit if you can.Comment

Altitude is overrated. Sometimes I will let them get above me, wait for them to dive at me, and then perform my own minidive towards him and pull up in 360 so I am behind him and am usually above him. This works about 90% of the time, some pilots are smart and catch on.Comment

Altitude is king. Trying to attack another helicopter that is above you is impossible unless you try to desperately tilt backwards as a last ditch attempt. The helicopter with the most altitude can just sit there and take the other one to pieces. If someone does get behind you in a high speed chase you could try faking a turn and pulling back to stop and rise up and back. You could potentially end up behind him, above him or dead. Knowing how to move in all directions with your helicopter is important anyway, one of my favourite moves is a sort of reverse sideways turn that gives the gunner a good shot of everything below.
Learn to gain altitude by balancing the helicopter and occationally use the CTRL - mouse to look around quickly since you can't turn in ctrl mode
You should be in the outside cockpit view. Pay attention to the gunner view on your HUD since it can give excellent clues on your opponents movement.
