Well here's the deal. the FN2000 is a superb rifle in my opinion. I have the impression that a lot of people think it's inaccurate due to the scope's crosshair. The center is clear, so sometimes for those long distance shots it's difficult to know where the exact center is, and when a pixel matters, you can miss. But for close in fights and medium ranges, this thing can be a potent weapon. To me, it's like the G3 with 10 more rounds, and with a grenade launcher. I dont tend to, as they put it, "noob toob" much, but a grenade is a smart choice when entering a room. Launch a grenade in, then get the full-auto capability to take out people inside the room. If you're out in the open, prone and set it to single shot, and you'll find that it's powerful enough to kill your enemies with two shots to the chest.
As for the grenade launcher's accuracy, I noticed it shoots on a flatter arc than the M203, so those used to the M203 should aim a bit lower.
SCAR-L is not one I've used more than once, but my friends love it.
MP7 to me seems just like the Bizon and MP5, with more damage. Your call though.
Oh and as for flashbangs, they're useful, but I find myself using a regular grenade more often than those.
It's nothing like the G3. It has worse recoil, and way less power (less than the AK101). BUt i agree, when i used the F2000 GL, i accidentally tked a guy in front of me when aiming high to hit an opponent, it just went right into the guy. But i've gotten used to it now.
You guys forgot about the SCAR-H. That sucker owns everything. All it's missing is a noob-toob.
The SCAR-H isn't an unlock into vanilla BF2 though. Anyways, i agree, the SCAR-H totally owns, i love the scope, it has good accuracy, good power, and GREAT spray for an assault rifle. BTW WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO, IT"S MY 2000th POST HERE SUCKERS. :) :) :p :p :shoot: :shoot: :ar15: :ar15:         :yay: :yay: :guns: :guns:

Uh, he wasn't asking about it, its not that we forgot about it Mr. Hawking.
Now, onto the authors post...
You've got the support and medic class to help keep the squad alive and armed, and the AT person should be able to deal with armor well enough on his own.
I'd go with the Assault class and add the F2000. If you're playing as a squad of 4 and mostly on city maps, it'd be perfect. Assault is for assaulting, it'll give you your best gun vs. other squads, and the GL is pwnage as well. Mix in the flashbangs (which work great vs. tanks and would really help ur AT guy out), and you are set.
If I were to build a squad of 4 for city maps it'd be damn simlar to what you have, maybe drop the support person for a 2nd Assault class. Between deaths, random ammo bags, and kits lying around you should be set on ammo.
Okay, so the squad would look like the following (all people having full upgrades):
1 Assault
1 Anti-Tank
1 Medic
1 Support
If we were to add one more person, which would be a better addition: Special Forces or Engineer?
Well, it depends. If the enemy would use armor /APCs extensively I'd think about SpecOps or another AT, but otherwise I'd go for another assault, as infantry is your primary enemy here. In general, some of the people in the squad should be flexible to switch roles depending on the situation.
Now you should ask a question about which of the above should be a medic and you have 5 pages of intense discussion guaranteed :). I'd personnaly go either for Medic being SL or having a rotating SL function: if SL dies, he resigns, the next in the line automatically jumps into the role, dies, resigns etc....
Our clan usually has 3-10 guys on every night, and all my pub play is basically done as a squad of 3-6. Abusing the SL function is paramount in winning matches.
If everyone dies but 1 guy while defending/capping a flag, everyone leaves the squad, making him leader, and then joins & respawns on him. It works like magic, and having 1 patient guy go hide while he waits on his squad has brought about some surprise and quite a few deaths to the opponent at times :) :)
