CD key error

hey guys, i have recently had to re-install BF2. i installed it, checked if everything was ok by just getting on a server and playing for a few seconds, then i proceeded to install the v1.12 patch. I had to install it using cmd prompts since, for some reason, patching fails otherwise. in any case, after patching, i cant join any server because it gives me a "your CD-Key is not valid" error. I have tried re-installing about 5 times, and i have tried at least 3 download spots (including directly fomr EA), yet it did nothing. I also have tried going into the register to see if the CD key had changed, but it was still ok after patching. can anyone help?

Try reinstalling the 1.12 patch.

=.= i already re-installed the game (and, as a matter of fact, the patch) 5 times... one more will only mae my hD fragment a bit more :)

and adding to this thread, how do cd keys get invalid? If u can install with them shouldnt u b a ble to play with them?

I have absolutely no idea. in fact, its even more strange considering the CD key in the register is the good one. I guess the patch is responsible in introducing this error, but now i want to know what to do.

i got that same bs it keeps saying invalid cd key
