    Where are the SAMs?

I was wondering how come there is no mobile surface-to-air missiles in this game. By that I mean shoulder fired like the Stinger?

nope, no heat seeking infantry anti-air weapon in da game... stingers suck, they cant hit for **** and the mobile AA, eg the Tunguska, is so easily destroyed --> anything that can fly can easily dominate the game!!

If they put that in, it would just be an annoyance to pilots because of the spam of missiles from everywhere on the map, which none will hit.

A commander should have the option, among resupply arty and so on, to call in for SAM support, where a missle/or 2/ would be launched and chase down any enemy plane. It would take a while to reload, but the missle would be very hard to evade, simple turning and flares wouldnt be enough, and it would exetremly deadly.
I say we need it. It would put an end to air domination

No, because if you rephrase it, it sounds extremly stupid:

commander should have the option, among resupply arty and so on, to call for Win-Button support, where a TOW or 2 would be launched to chase an enemy vehicle/tank. It shuld take a while to reload, but the TOW would be very hard to evade (unlike artilitary), simply driving away wouldnt be enough, and it would be extremly deadly
I say we need it. It would put an end to BF2, and bring a new age of CS.

All thats needed is to make misiles track better and 1-hit kill any jet, it would benift ground defense as well as dog fights.

DICE doesnt know how to code them in, only the guys at DC know how to do that.

It's not like the ones DC made tracked or anything special like that. They just went straight and had a proximity fuse.

look, EVERYTHING in BF series, EVERYTHING, are hard coded in game. SAM is possible only because DICE made it so.

frankly, that SAM in DC was just a big flak
                  cannon round.

Why!? coded in some missiles that are 90% hitting targets. We just need to tone that down and we got something to kill air targets.

i would rather see a stinger go straight, then to have heat seeking stinger that never hits the target.

Or like a nifty feature in DC, have controlable rockets, controable by the commander only, and he can send em whereever he wants, but hes got limited fuel and all that. It would give the commander something to do if there's a lull in the game
