Re: Practice Flying tips?
1. From my humble experience, I don't really use missiles that often, and certainly not when I'm sneaking up on them. I switch to bombs so they usually don't know I'm there until their hit indicator shows their being shot.
2. Many that I see online will immediately pull back hard on the stick and attempt to perform an... hehe... evasive inside loop. Where I see the attacker screw up is that he immediately goes to full afterburner and does the same thing. WAIT for about a half second or so to pull up (but not on the go juice), you want to be occupying the same point he was when he began the loop. This keeps your angles in synch and he won't simply pass by your nose.
3. If he tries to shake you through some fancy airleron and rudder work, make sure that your angle of roll matches his so that he can't jink hard and shake you.
4. If being chased and you can manage it, climb to altitude, don't give him visual references on the ground (pilotage) to help track you. Up there you'll only see clouds and blue skies. Do not climb in a straight line or you'll look like a roman candle before you make it to 5000 feet. The additional advantage is that planes move at much higer speeds at altitude.
5. If you see a teammate being chased by an enemy plane and decide to help out, do not use missiles at all. If the enemy shakes it, more often than not the damned thing will lock on to your buddy and suddenly decide to become perfectly accurate. IE, you'll get a TK.
6. Finally, don't get frustrated with the whoretards who WILL see you getting into a jet, and they'll Knight Rider over a jeep/APC/tank to the runway to block your takeoff. I've lost my temper over that and shot them dead for it, and they still get the last laugh over a TK. (Note: this does not affect the F-35B due to its VSTOL capabilities)
Just my two cents.
