hahahahaha yes you are and i dont think you could call it a new standard in modelling just yet lol
EDIT it is a nice model - but what it comes down to is this - your group has produced 1 good model so far - FH has consistently delivered quality from day 1.... tht is why i use them (tht and i hate to say it but they are a teency bit better)
DOUBLE EDIT: not trying to be an a$$ or anything...
Agreed, its a bit... pompus, to boast your own models like that.
I haven't seen anyone having any real "problems". At least, not the kind to worry yourself over. Most issues relate to CTD (which means crash to desktop in case you weren't sure), or people just simply not caring for the mod. In some cases, that means they'll blame it on whatever problem they're having at the moment.
I'd say that about 99.95% of the mods that TotalBF2 front-pages are perfectly safe. These all end up in their own mod folder and don't affect regular Battlefield 2. You wont have problems getting onto online games, and any peformance hits you suddenly notice after turning the mod off, is something else, I promise you.
But if you're still cautious, which isn't a bad thing, simply create a Windows Restore Point before installing the mod. If you don't like it and want to pretend you never did it, just choose the restore point and Windows will go back to, roughly, the way it was before.
Enjoy the mods, they're what make the game great. You'll be happy that you did.
meh, i'll just check the front page of tbf2 and download everything i see, anything i see as a waste of good storage space will be banished into thy holy recycle bin.....than i'll just download more
I just downloaded Alied Intent two days ago and it's quicky becoming one of my favorite mods. They managed to turn Kumbra Dam into a working single player game, turned Clean Sweep into a night map, opened up Dalien Plant into a nearly perfect 64 size map for single player, and put a very high emphathis on air battle. If you're into single player at all, this is your mod. It's great practice, if nothing else, for honing your flying skills because bots don't usually get very aggressive in air to air combat otherwise. Supposably the bot AI has been tweaked as well so it's much smarter.
But if for nothing else, check out their custom maps. There's only 3 right now but their fourth looks promising too.
After that, Mercs 6.0 is my favorite pretty much tied with Project Reality Minimod. Theres a bunch of really awesome total conversion mods coming out whenever they come out. Apocolpyse looks promising (as in, I can't see it suddenly collapsing and never being released), as does the Star Wars and Lego mods.
I was looking at something for online play, something you can put on a server. Not really into playing it singleplayer ^^
Can't really see a really really good mod out there yet
as was said b4 - there isnt... and at this rate it will be awhile - my only fear is tht OFP2 will come out and any remaining interest i had for mods or even this game will be blown away... quite frankly i am joining a WW2 mod for tht as soon as it becomes available
ok surreal mod, heres the build http://elxx.net/surreal/ this is not a mini mod & its not a full mod, however it has 8 stock maps converted to surreal vechiles, it also has bot support, later today the other links for server files will be released but i thought i just add this in
