Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
anyone know if this is a bug or not.you have a guy die and you try to revive him and no matter how many time you shock him he never comes back.happens to me alot so after the 3rd time i shock him i give up.i play medic alot happen 3 or 4 times a map.only happens in bf2 sf
There is no limitation, you can revive someone until your head falls off.....it's not a bug, either the person you are trying to revive most likely committed suicide to respawn as something else (so they couldn't be revived), or a bad clipping map area
I have noticed this much more in SF, seems to happen quite often when they are on a metal plate, could be related to the clipping problem where objects clip through the metal flooring. Maybe their kit falls through the floor and makes it impossible for you to revive them?
That happens sometimes, When the guys dies they have a chance of being stuck into the wall, sometimes when you try to revive them they wont come back alive, and sometimes they do.
Happens a lot on hills and stairs in vanilla BF2. . . if the body starts a slidin' chance are no medic will be revivin'! (just made up that stupid rhyme. . .sorry, little crazy right now).
I have also seen this happen when the other person is under an object, like a guard railing or something (eg just north of "the bridge" on Karkand when people go under to snipe others across the way, if they die under it, chances are very high that I cannot revive them).
*snip* u can either die or be criticly wounded, people who are CW can be revived, people that die cant, most people that die die (yes i did mean 2 dies) get killed by grenades or tanks, ive died a few times with a normal gun, u cant get them back what so ever. if your CW'd, well shock paddle till ur hearts content, just make sure u can aim with them
are u guys retards? u can either die or be criticly wounded, people who are CW can be revived, people that die cant, most people that die die (yes i did mean 2 dies) get killed by grenades or tanks, ive died a few times with a normal gun, u cant get them back what so ever. if your CW'd, well shock paddle till ur hearts content, just make sure u can aim with them
Nice explanation Captain Obvious. However, I have been playing with friends while on comms and they tell me they are only wounded yet I can't revive them. There is a bug of some kind.
To the original poster, I used to give them two hits with the paddles and then move on. Now it's one and go. Anymore than that and you are just making yourself a target. No one should ever give you grief for trying.
We are not talking about sliding bodies, not talking about blown up bodies. A person killed by a brick of C4 can be revived, after it flies through the air 50 yards on a BF2 map.
But in SF often times a person shot with a pistol or MG cannot be revived, although everything you know about reviving in BF2 tells you, that you can save him.
I've had the same problem, the guy is in front of you, time ticking and you can't revive him. Doesn't happen as often for me as you though.
Also I've noticed that when some teammates get killed you don't always see the tag above thier body, to indicate they are revivable. But hit them with the shock paddles and bam, they're back up again.
I play Medic 90% of the time now. I know exactly what the original poster is talking about. You see the icon above the body flashing which is supposed to indicate the person is revivable. Once that icon goes away, he's supposed to be history. About once every couple of rounds, both on BF2 and BF2:SF I'll zap a guy that should still be revivable and get nothing (except the "recharging" commentary). I'll give him another jolt just in case and if that doesn't do it, I'm gone. Like QuakerOatz I too have gotten to a body whose icon has disappeared and zapped them - voila! -they come back to life. Now, if I'm running to someone and their icon winks out but the body is still there I'll dive and give them one try.
As others have said, if the body is moving (sliding down hill, stairs) forget about it. They won't revive. Don't take the risk or waste the charge.
