problem with the v1.12 patch?

hello all, please help

ever since to i downloaded the newest patch, bf2 hasnt been working properly. It loads and runs totally fine, until the map is loaded and at this point, the mouse totally freezes, and i am therefore unable to select spawnpoint/soldier kit.

please give me any advice possible

Maybe your keys have been remapped? Go to your controls and reset them to defaults?

ah thank you BadLizzard, ill give it a go, but i dont see how or why these setting would have been altered.

Guy from my clan had that happen, he created a new profile because he couldn't do anything in game, so I told him to copy his controls.con file from the working account to the non-working one, and it worked.

He had no idea why it happened either, only thing I can think of is that the control.con file got corrupted.
