dam bug cost me a golden badge

you have the bug when you enter a server, you are listed as a private instead of your real rank, actualy I have this bug on regular base in SF (anyone else?)

but as we all know, to get a golden badge you need 44 kills, wich is not that easy on SF maps (no vehicle whoring) , finaly I manage to get a freaking 47 kills, but no golden badge, this because I was listed as a private instead of my real rank and offcourse the global assault time wasn't loaded ether for the server (wich is more then enough, 120h+ )

so no gold badge for me, would of been my first golden badge for SF , but it was shure fun like hell, server was filled with noobs .

This is a very known bug in vanilla also. Happens all the time to me.

I never stay in a server after I notice I don't have my rank.

This is something really bothering me too because I don't check TAB every time I connect somewhere. There is a quick way to notice this though, see if your unlocks are available when you choose your class. If they (the switch button) are not shining in yellow, you know something is not right and you'll remember to press TAB and confirm if you are ranked. If not, just disconnect, find new one.

So are you mad because you were bugged and you could have gotten the badge, or are you mad at yourself for being a retard and not trying fix the bug by relogging/reloading BF2:sf before attempting the badge?

You can have your unlocks and NOT your rank. Happened to me last night.

no, I actualy don't try for a badge like this and just play, having in mind I will get it sometime, and offcourse I knew from the beginning I didn't had my unlocks and true rank, but after some time, I was performing very good, to good to quit just because the rank problem, and at the end of the round I did have more kills then needed, so I was just disapointed

that happens alot to me ill get a gold star and dont get it but ive noticed something sometimes it does give me my kills but not all the time. now i just leave if it dont give me my rank

It's not about a medal, I don't care one bit about a gold medal, but I do would like to had my golden assault badge
