Help please

[Throttled]

My screen goes black and computer freezes up when action starts happening around or near my player. I have a Radeon 800XL PCI Express card. It has an occasional lag every now and then but overall seems ok. Any suggestions? Thanks.

How much RAM is adequate? I set the video card on performance instead of quality but that didn't help either. The game setting are on medium. I would think it should run on that without a problem being a new computer?

I would suggest at least 1 GB. 1.5 to 2 GB if you wanna jack up your settings.

512 MB just won't cut it for BF2 unfortunately

You should be able to handle all medium or most on high if you upgrade your RAM. Should make a big difference.

Hey, no problem. I went through the same thing when BF2 came out...

I had to figure out what to do to get the game running smoothly...and doubling my RAM to 2 GB did it.

dude i had the same problem with my game. I have an ATI 9250 128mb AGP vid card and i HAD 512 ram.

Upgraded to a gig, now i have no problems at all...... WHEN THE GAME ACTUALLY GETS PAST THE LOGIN SCREEN.. stupid EA

put ur textures on low or geometry or something.. cuz 512 isn't enuff to run on med... get another 512 n it'll run smoother+load faster... but no 512 =some med settings & mostly low settings...
