    Re: Alternative to BF2

lol, The game is not that great it's not to good looking. There's not to many guns I think 2? And the fact I'm invisible and get to walk around and punch people capping flags and they don't even know were I am is just totaly lame...

Download the game from warrock.net, it's an English install, or here: http://files.filefront.com/War_Rock_.../fileinfo.html

I've only played it on my laptop so far on low settings and it looks like crap, but I'll try it on high on my home pc tomorrow. Either way it is fun to play, and free. From what I can gather this is the English beta that came out on the 5th. The Korean version has been out a lot longer and includes a lot more maps, weapons, vehicles, boats and aircraft. Check out the trailer to see what the full game is like:

        Re: Alternative to BF2

Apparently they stole most of the game sounds from the BF Desert Combat mod; after they were found out they just renamed the sound files. This was written by a guy whose first language is not English, so not all of it makes complete sense:

        Hi there.
When this game was came out in Korea, many FPS
players was enjoy this game. But some of guys who
played BF1 : Desert Combat once, feel a doubt about
        this game.

So they begin to compare with BF1 : DC, they found
Warrock uses BF1 : DC Sound sources illigely:

        -C:Program FilesNexonWar RockSoundCrash
        -aircraft_con_crash.wav ('Crash' sound)
        -heavy_tread_con_crash.wav ('Crash' sound)

And let's see what's the difference between BF1 : DC
        and Warrock.

        1. Capture the base
        99% Same except a gauge.

        2. Charge the ammo
99% Same and ammo box design was bring from
Wolfenstein : Enemy Territory. (this is last 1%)

        3. HP Healing
99% same and medic kit was bring from Wolfenstein :
Enemy Territory. (this is also last 1%)

        4. Respawn Menu

        5. Mini map

        6. View changes

Yeah, this is too many. But still remains about whole
system. After they found this, they wrote article to
        warrock website.

Their article has been deleted and banned. Also
sound sources were renamed after next patch.

Ok, for anyone who is still iffy on downloading the game, it really is great. Imagine a cross between CS and BF2. Imagine it costs $00.00. You now are imagining War Rock.

It is fun; graphics are not as good as BF2, but that's because u can play it with a low end card. The full game is sounding pretty cool, with a large range of weapons, tanks, helos, planes and boats.

Here's a few of the weapons:

This page shows all the vehicles:

Damn right. I showed it to my friend and he was like "omgwtf" and just uninstalled it. I got annoyed at him, he didn't even give it a chance. He just spawned and got owned, and he just quit. how annoying is that? I mean, he didn't even go on Emblem. Thats the best map ever.

@Sharp - Those weapons are not currently in the game, and there are only a few vehicles right now (Motorbike, tank, APC, small tank thing, humvee).

In the full game i believe that you will be able to 'buy' the weapons on a game t game basis, like Counter Strike.

But currently there are only the base weapons available.

Fun, gonna play it with some squad members!

It's very Arcade , which makes it a laugh to play.
