Havne't been able to play SF online since I bought it. Extremely ****ed.

I patched to 1.12 before I bought Special Forces. Soon after I bought Special Forces and repatched again. Since then I haven't been able to play one game online. First off when I refresh the server screen to look for SF servers, most of the servers diassapear leaving me with 5 or 6 servers. After another refresh they all dissapear. If I actually do get into a server, I can't do anything because right off the start I get a "There is a problem with your connection" message.

What the hell is going on? Basically buying SF was a waste of 30 dollars as of now and I'm starting to want my money back. I'm very angry.

The worst part? Getting support from EA is like trying to screw a door. I can't figure the problem out!

My internet connection is fine I can play other games.

Turn off all firewalls. Reinstall both games and install the patch several times. Make sure you don't have "Same Mod" or "Same version" checked in the filters menu. What ISP do you have, cable or DSL I presume.

OPTION 1...I think I would uninstall both games and reinstall them both. Make sure you delete the entire folder in MY DOCUMENTS/BF2. Reboot, turn off virus scan, then reinstall the game. 1.03 patch [heard you don't need the 1.03 patch, but not sure] and DO NOT install 1.12 until after you have installed BF2 SF.

OR.....You could try just deleting the MY DOCUMENTS BF2 folder only and then empty the recycling bin and reboot your comp. Rerun the game and see how it plays. This worked with BF2, might with SF.

Day 2 of my problems:

Reinstalled SF and repatched to 1.12 but still not able to connect to a server for some reason.

Anyone wanna buy a copy of SF for 20 bucks?

I have Comcast Cable.

I want to know why when I connect to a server I get the "there is a problem with your connection" message. It makes no sense!
