or it could be that by looking at your minimap it looks as if your inside a building

He's getting the flag capping indicator yet he's nowhere near the flag.

Happens frequently.

Yeah, I was really going crosseyed when it happened, I could barely find my screenie key I took 2 SC in quick succession but the other one is the same so no point in posting....

First time I've even seen or herd this happen!! Weird HUH?? :hmm:

Nope, its like a little space there. It's like a red steel wall protecting a shop or something there...

I have seen this before when you are playing a 32 player map for instance, yet you are close to a flag point which is only active in the 16 or 64 player version. Usually you have no effect and can't change the flag because it isn't really there.

Now your shot shows a changing flag, that I have not seen, did you stay there long enough to capture the point and get capture assist points for it?

It doesn't give you any points and you're not actually helping to cap the flag.

If your team mates are capping the flag or if the enemy is retaking it, you'll see the icon update as such.
