Yeah, it took a while. Give it 30-40 minutes or so just to make sure. Then reboot and try again. If that fails, re-dload the patch. I know its large, but...

Also - one problem I just thought of.

This guy will need Wake Island - how will he get it if he doesn't install 1.03?
Unless 1.12 has Wake in the patch?

yeah... so i guess u need to install each patch, one by one, in the order of 1.02, 1.03, 1.12.

No, because 1.02 doesn't contain anything important. 1.03 Simply replaces it.

So if i was to uninstall and restart the game, i would have to download and install 1.03 AND 1.12? Thats lame. Don't they offer Wake Island as a standalone download?

Maybe I'll rar up the map and keep it for my new comp.

but if 1.03 doesnt contain the updated files of 1.02, while 1.02 is required for installing 1.03, u still need to install 1.02 first.

                    Negative!

Retail to v1.12 will work. :) No need to download any other patch.

                    Atleast.. for me it did.

^ It worked for me when I re-installed BF2. It took me about 20 mins, I was about to give up and hit CTRL-ALT-DEL but it finished patching. It could do with a progress bar because some people will quit after 5 mins and never get it patched.

I was thinking that same thing. A progress bar would be common sense. Uh oh, what am I thinking?
