I think only people skillful enough and with certain specs like good win ratios,kd can be allowed to become officer but they need to complete a series of tasks first or somethin.

There are already some images that came with BF2 that go past 2nd Lt up through a 5 star general, so I wouldn't be surprised if they use those in the next expansion or the next patch sometime in 2007.

yea when the description of the game came out with saying achieve the rank of general...it made me want the game...

tjhey should also offer experience points..like 100 points every hour you play

I hours playing the game should be included, but you should be able to mix and match wepons as you choose, so the sniper could use C4 ect.

ye, I think there should be a change of uniform and a modified score system.

So you get more points for killing higher ranks.

Doesnt' matter to me. I really haven't found any instance where rank means anything as far as the game goes.

Higher ranking personall should get first rights in getting an aircraft, as in real life it is just officer ranks that fly the aircraft.

If they did the officer ranks should only go to Commanders and Squad leaders, lone wolfs do not lead men Officers do :)

I like the idea of ranks, I have no objections to having more if implemented correctly, but ranks do come with their problems, namely stat whoring such as making an empty server and capping flags for hours etc (But hey C&C Generals has it, DOW has it, many other games have stat whoring, so whats the difference here)

I feel that ranks are worth their bother because they make you feel like your achieving something, which as we know is vital to success. :)

So yeah good idea.
