PLZ HELP, CTD when joining server

I have just installed BF2:SF after much, MUCH troubleshooting.

*I try joining a server, but it blacks-out and crashes me to my desktop.*

Weird thing is that I can play singleplayer without a problem, so its probably not a graphical issue. (although when it loads, it always adjusts my shader for max performance)

Thank you for any assistance.

P.S EA support can't hold a candle to actual ppl support and Patch 1.12 is the worst patch in my experience.

well without 1.12 you wont connect to any servers, as far as CTD try running dxdiag and adjusting sound accleration to basic seems to help a lot of people.

I have the exact same problem, but it only appeared afted I uninstalled BF42 + mods and rebooted my machine after an uptime of 2 days and 6 hours (which is an unusually long time in my case)... I blame the game.
