        Actually, you would want Dynamic Shadows on high:

        This setting controls the shadows cast by moving objects. These 'dynamic' shadows can be switched Off, or set to Low, Medium or High. Each higher level of dynamic shadows means slightly more detailed shadows are cast, particularly for the shadows cast by players and vehicles.

          I get too much of a performance hit when I set them to high, low seems to work just fine and doesn't cause all the lag.

            yeah, even top of technology PC's lag soo much if setting for lighting and dyn.shadow are set to high for a minimum of changes and improvement. medium lighting and shadow is almost as good looking as high for a good framerate exange(at least 24 for my ATI9600 128mo)

                  ok i've tried to set geometry to high. it seems to improve a bit but i didnt see much difference thought. :hmm: well probably my computer sucks :laugh: thanks for the tips anyway. :)

                    Yeh, I used to have problems with flashing lights firing at me, rather than actual player models due to my low settings. One of the settings, be it it geometry i dunno, changes this, and lets you see every unit a lot earlier.
