Can someone help me with my video settings, I built a new comp recently and can't seem to figure out the right settings for it. This is my spec-
AMD 64 3500+ Winchester
1024Mb 400mhz ram
Winfast Foxconn NF4UK8AA Motherboard
Xpert Vision Geforce 6600Gt 128Mb DDR3 pci-express
2 Mb broadband

Any ideas?

You could play med/high settings easy you have the same set up as me, but a much faster processor. I can play low/med smooth.

I got:
Athlon64 3200+ Clawhammer
1.5Gig Corsair LED flashing crap
SB Audigy 2 platinum
ASUS K8V-2 deluxe or something
Leadtek 6800GT AGP

I run all medium everything except the top one and the bottom one.. and x4 AA

Runs sweet as a nut

Hey! Don't forget to mention resolutions. I'd say all medium no AA and 1024x768 or lower with the 6600gt in order to get decent frame rates.

My rig:

xfx 7800GT
Epox 9NPA Ultra

I run at 1280x1024 with everything at med except textures to high and 2xAA.

i run 1024x768@75

Terrain: Medium
Effects: high
Geometry: high
Texture: high
Lighting: Medium
Dynamic light: off
Dynamic shadows: off
Antialiasing: 2x (can do 4x but 2x is fine)
Texture Filtering: high
view Distance: 100%

game runs very smooth, but frames will dip a lot in SF, Vanilla BF2 runs perfect.

My suggestion assumes he wants good frame rates. The game may play smooth but I would like to know the fps. I like it to never dip below 75 when playing multiplayer games. Just me.

well on vanilla BF2 i get anyware from around 35-90 FPS

Which is good, but down around 35 I notice a slowdown. I would sacrafice some graphics for solid frame rates.

Are you serious?Thats all a 7800 GT can pull?Im thinkin you have driver issues cause I've seen 6800 GT's on those settings.

I have a 6600GT and I run everything on Med., 100% view distance and no AA @ 1280x1024. I get around 35-80 FPS.

EDIT: The specs in my sig aren't correct, yet. Will be getting myself the other vid. card and more ram for Christmas. Currently running 1GB of RAM with 1 6600GT, not 2. Just FYI.)

view Distance: 100%

I dunno how my system don't crash but i finally found settings which work, I'm pretty sure you could do the same. I get about 100 fps. I get a little lag at the start of the game which lasts about 40 secounds but it's fine after that.
