Backup player profile?

Hey,

I am about to re-install my PC (O/S and the lot) and was just wondering do I need to backup and BF2 files, such as player profile etc?

I presume (hope) that all my account settings such as score etc are stored by EA but I thought it safer to check first.

No need to backup anything.
Reinstall everything then retrieve your account through the game interface once you have the game and internet setup.
