:hmm:
I think when I bought SF, I was expecting something else...
1. Where did the planes go?
To me, stealing planes and flying them off enemy airfields was the highlight of BF2
2. Where are the OBJECTIVE based maps?! I can't imagine every spec op operation to be "conquest".... Such as assassinate the VIP vs protecting the VIP for time N or until she reaches her destination (make the VIP an NPC if you wish...), blow up some structures vs protecting those structures? Those were even in CS >,<" I can think of lots of ways to implement those elements using BF's ticket system...
3. Such a small arsenal to choose from?! So many forces that use the same selection of weapons?
4. SFs without silencers and laser scopes?! OMG!
5. Engineers are only shotgunners now?!
Good work on the flashbang, tear gas, grapples and crossbow stuff though. (some ppl say they dun work, but they seem to be working fine for me)
I thought the point of SF was to put the "Splinter Cell" elements into BF2. For instance, stealth entry, VIP assassination, VIP protection, obtain important documents, obtain prototype weapons, disarm time bomb, destroy research work, destroy important structures, hostage rescue and etc. I never expected Spec Ops to be a "we are spec ops! CHARGE! LETS GET THAT FLAG!" game...
Imagine if you could make some of the classes the KEY to win certain maps!
e.g. snipers for assassination, engineers for disarming bombs, scouts for bombing, medics for rescuing wounded VIPs, soldiers for ... good question.
So much potential, and they ruined it!! ahhhh!
