Pick Weapons Class or Pick SquaD

Do you guys prefer the present format of having to choose by weapons class first then squad - or would you rather choose squad first and then pick a weapon based upon the weapons class need of the squad (like America's Army but with more freedom to choose a different weapon in that weapons class)?

Squad first, i usually end up choosing support in a squad as usually most people don't play support and CONSTANTLY need ammo.

I think everyone should be forced into a squad of some sort. Snipers can be in a squad of their own.
