gasmask and nightvision

i like them both and stuff but i dont like them being toggle'd with 7 and 8 what have you guys changed yours to ON the keyboard. i need some ideas

On my MX510, I was thinking about putting the gas mask to MOUSE4 and the NVG to MOUSE5 (or w/e is next to MOUSE4)

Mine are also attached to numpad 4 & 6 so they're closer to the cursor keys. :)

i am thinking about changing mouse config, but for some reason not all the buttons on my mx510 work.

The two top buttons fine. The scroll, fine. The Up Down, and Task Switching buttons, while they wont work, they wont bind either

I put NV to left alt (and moved toggle 3d map to right alt) and put my gas mask on 3(and put camera cycle on , )

I used logigamer, to make the night vision and mask I and O, and then bind I and O to the scroll up and down buttons on my MX510. It makes the PC think the scroll buttons are the letters O and I.

Parachute is scroll wheel button, and one of the side buttons is for teamspeak.

A for gasmask and Q for nightvision.

I changed my moving keys to E,S,D,F. And short messages to W and R.
Took awhile to get used to but now it's perfectly ok. :)

Nightvision is the \ for me. That's the button left of the Z.
Gasmask is still the 8.

I dont use "F" alot so I assigned the grapling hook and zipline to it.
I switched "N" Zoom map key to "-" then put NVG's on it.
I raley use the gas mask so I left that the same.

Nice idea, I've pretty much assigned all the weapons to buttons on my MX1000. Left and right tilt on the mouse wheel being for Pistol and Primary weapon, Knife, grenades etc scattered over remaining buttons Thought I'd used up all the buttons I needed but then along comes Special Forces with NVG and Gas Mask. How did you assign the parachute to the scroll wheel button?, I'd kinda like to have scroll wheel up and scroll wheel down used for gas mask and night vision but not sure if it's possible. Did you have to use the UberOptions feature?

weird thing is if i open a chat window in bf, the keys do type 7s and 8s when pressed, but do not put the mask on!!

Go to the logictech website and download their mouseware application. it allows you to bind those buttons to keys and then you can bind those keys to actions in BF2.

So you are usng the scroll wheel up and down and assigning them to different keys? I had that working like you but resorted to trying Autohotkey, still wouldn't switch to NVG or Gasmask for me but would type 7 and 8's. Until someone can offer me a solution using Logigamer to bind keys to scrolling mouse wheel up or down I have found another solution.

Just change Weapon keys to 7 and 8 where appropriate. I have just tried it out and it works, fast NVG and Gasmask changing

I'd still prefer to have it working through Logigamer approach though.
