Pics of graphics gone wrong :\

Hello,

Ok i have all graphics on all medium & AA on 2x/4x/6x & what ever settings it's on i get some weird looking stuff like below:

(I get blocky shadows if up close to a man or chopper etc.

I'm using a driver from ati site so what could be the problom as i'm sure it must be smoother some how & get rid of them, I also get it on my gun, A funny light flashes on it.

My specs are:

2.80GHZ
9700 pro
1024 gbram

I've installed 1.2 patch yet when i start bf2 it says if i want to upgrade to 1.2? Does everyone have this?

First Do you know HotschotT from Ghost Recon? Your name is familiar? Maybe.

The popup saying do you want to add 1.12 is a standard message popping up. Just close it. Doesn't mean you have to install it.
Try setting to default settings. Then let game setup according to your graphics card. Set nothing. Also if you have an option to turn off VERTICAL SYNC on your video card do it. Let me know how that works and we will go from there.

Have you updated your graphics drivers? ATI cards had problems in the very begining with shadows. So read this post and follow the instructions to update your video card's drivers: http://www.totalbf2.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23899

And yes the 1.12 patch message from EA is standard and as of now, everyone gets it. I wish they would take it off as those messages slow everyones login times.

I get easily confused with what one i need, Tell me pls :) I'm on 32bit xp.

You will need the 5.11 drivers under the ATI section for Windows XP 32-bit. But keep reading as there is another program that you'll need to download inorder to install them properly.
