If ur talking about the ea logo and stuff

*Just make sure u back these files up first just in case u do something wrong*

just delete the .bik files from the

      c:\ProgramFiles\EAGames\Battlefield2\mods\xpack\mo vies directory

i deleted em all expect for the welcome cause i just like that personally:)

does that make it faster than renaming the file?

Yeah, go there, delete everything except the welcome and the login stuff and you're fine (delete dice, legal, and intro, and ea bink files).

all you need to do is just press the esc key and it takes you right the login menu , why mess with the files

Rather than delete them just rename the extension from *.bik to *.backup, the reason being it saves precious memory by not loading them which can then be used for the more important game files (helps a little for people with less than the optimum 2 gig).

Thanks everyone. This cuts the game load time AT LEAST in half cuz it takes you straight to the Account Login screen. This is a MUST DO if you are tired of Escaping out of the intro stuff. It really makes a big difference.

I just renamed the movies folder to movies_old and that did it for me.

That way I can easily put it back to normal if I have to.

you can edit your command line to log you in automatically aswell you know...

and you can use All Seeing Eye to do the whole thing too which is way way better that the crappy in game browser which i belive is powered by gamespy which would explain the crappyness.

It reduced the memory overhead used by the screen files.

Get the filters.txt for ASE from here: http://cot.ath.cx/files.php and replace your old ASE filters.txt with the downloaded.
Now you have filters for version 1.12 and Special Forces in ASE.

Then start ASE and go to Filters/Configure Games/BF2
You see a line that says "Programm Location". Edit it to fit this Format:
                              Code:
                              "D:\Spiele\Battlefield 2\BF2.EXE" +username FILL_IN_YOUR_NAME +playerPassword FILL_IN_YOUR_PASSWORD
For D:\Spiele\Battlefield 2 fill in your Programm Location.

Now you can start BF2 from ASE.
                              :guns:
