Help appreciated with install issue,

Hello,

I have used the search engine and I can not seem to find an answer to my install problem. At the moment I am trying to install SF and getting the “too little space” on hard drive error. I was able to get around this issue when installing the patch by using a member’s suggestion on editing my registry. But this does not seem to work for SF.

Can anyone tell me how to get around this issue?

C:\ = 1.5 GB free
D:\ = 100 GB free

uninstall some more stuff on C: drive stuff you really dont need or use,then completly defrag the drive and then install,you also might want to check and see if your not using a little too much virtual memory off the drive?.

Backup some stuff on DVD or CD. Always does the job. Eg. Mp3's. :)

No luck. I have removed everything possible/

I have even set my environment variables to use a temp directory on the D drive in addition all the apps I have installed are installed in D:\Program Files.

The C drive has nothing left on it that can be removed.

This is frustrating! Someone else must have run into this issue.

Uninstall enough programs for the patch to be on your pc. Reinstall programs when patching done.

Nothing installed on C drive except Windoze and drivers.

The problem is that the installer wants 2.4 gig (actually I needed 3 gig) available ON THE C DRIVE. (caps to yell at EA)

The morons that did the installer must be the same morons that are still telling you to type in the serial from the back of the box. You know the serial that is really on the manual.

Damn. I have a partition that is 4GB and that includes Windows and drivers (as stated above). Of course that takes up more then 1GB meaning I am stuck.

There has to be a way to fool the installer…  I wish I could simply add a symbolic link. Good old unix/linux.

Think I will call EA and see if they can help. Well they do not open until Monday. I have never been one to comment on EA but this is one issue which the P.I. should have caught!
