And yes, EA does have support for their login servers and such.
They just don't have technical support via phone and email on the weekends for our side issues.

Yah sure, I will tell you whats up, you have to wait because they f'd everything up again with the new patch, don't worry though they will eventually get everything smoothed out just as they did with BF1942, a lot of people didn't play BF1942 until AFTER all the problems were smoothed out, and those of us who did, well some have forgotten, but there are still a few of us that remember.
