If you buy the expansion pack (SF), then you can play with the SF unlocks in the ordinary Battlefield!

I think the original poster is asking if, in Vanilla BF2, you can choose from the normal gun, the unlock, and the SF gun.

And I think the answer is yes, but I don't know for sure. I have SF but ever since I installed it the original BF2 chucks 'modified content' errors at me.
