New model program .(creates models automaticly)

I have the full story, with screens here...

    wdgz.net (news section front page)

But the sum of it is you take any pics, and the program generates the model, complete with textures!!!

You can export the models to 3Ds format....

Sounds too good to be true. There is no way it could get all the detail right on all divisions.

No frickin kidding, I generated a model in about 8 minutes...2200 poly.

Id post a screenshot, but TBF2 isn't letting me upload at the moment.
I have screens on my site....

The thing is, the program needs an image of an object taken from many different angles to make the model.

Yeah, so take a nice 24th scale plastic model of say....(a panzer tank) take your pics, and produce your 3D model...

Then using normal methods, add detail to your model, and get it ready for use in the game!:)

This program would be perfect for turning your plastic hobby models into base models for your 3dmax, or milkshape......then add detail and bones.

i expect the resulting meshes to be pretty messy...not very efficient for a game.

Dont see how it can work with a normal camera though...theres no depth information recorded.

Not true, there is a mat that you print, with position points on it.

To get camera position, and depth, you must place your target in the center of the mat before taking your pics...
The program is setup to key on the markings on the mat, for position placement.

There is also a manual allignment tool for setting up a target without the mat..
