G3 is the worst upgrade gun in my opinion.Plain old sucky, and here's my reasons:

1. Small clip size coupled with med/high ROF means its gone in a few seconds.
2. Weak ammunition, i can't kill people for beans even with plenty of chest shots, id take an mp5 anyday yoyoyo.
3. Poor accuracy, a heavy gun should be more accurate since it takes more force to kick it around.
4. Long reload time. FAR TOO LONG FOR SUCH A PETTY GUN.
G36c just annoys me, I dont use spec ops much but when i do im forced to use this because its better than the other guns, and its still a sissy weapon. I'd like to reinstate points 2 and 3 from above for this weapon.
M16 is good if you're good with it. Otherwise, dont bother. Same goes for all burst weapons.
and as for spr1ngy I WILL NEAVAH GIVE UP MAH BLUE TEXT.

Ok, mods, take him away for the text j/k lol. Anyways, the G3 is more powerful than any of the assault rifles, it's a very powerful gun. It sprays better than any of the other assault rifles as it has low recoil. BUt i must agree, it should be more accurate and the 20 round clip just kills ya.

It completely depends on the situation

CQC: MK3A1 or DAO-12
Medium range: SCAR-H, Ak-101, MG36
Long range: M24, M16, all the G36 weapons.

I used to be an avid fan of the G3A3, but I stopped playing for a couple of weeks and sucked with it all over again when I started again.

The G3A3 is strictly a medium range weapon. It's clip size and lack of n00b-tube are a liability at close range, and the lack of accuracy is a liability at long range. The G3A3 does have low recoil, so the ironsights don't jump around as much when you fire it. I find that this allows rapid shots on semi-auto to be relatively accurate. The AK has more recoil, so the ironsights jump around a lot, making rapid single shots more difficult. The M16 has inconsistent recoil (varies between .1 and .6), which makes firing rapid single shots difficult as well, as the gun may have little recoil or a lot. Also, the grenades are handy at medium range, where the grenade launcher is more difficult to aim from. Still, the G3A3 is underpowered. The slight increase in damage and the decreased recoil don't really make up for the small clip size and inaccuracy.

Scar H is best weapon in SF, F2000, is best unlock for VBF2, but its not highly accurate at all....

Ok, i'm getting the INI files now, all i can say is, it does 34 damage, and the rpm is 600. I'll edit after looking in the iNI files.

EDIT: Ok, fast edit, but here, i'll update as i go:
Recoil: 0.3-0.5
Recoil zoomed mod: 0.7
Min. Deviation: 0.43
Deviation Added per shot: 0.21 (2 is the maximum it can go)
Standing/Crouch/Prone dev mod: 1.3/1.2/1.1
Deviation zoomed mod: 0.9

Ok, this is how it is, the recoil is the same as the G3, which is very good at spraying. The minimum deviation is not too good, but it's ok (better than the AKs), the deviation added per shot is better than all AR except the M16, the standing and crouch positions are better than their counterparts in Vanilla BF2. But it has the worse prone benefit than all other AR except the L85. THe Deviation zoomed mod is also a bit worse than the other AR. So it's kinda in the middle in all of this, it is very good at spray and pray, has good power, good when standing and crouched.

RPM: 600
Damage: 34
Recoil: 0.4-0.6
REcoil when zoomed mod: 0.8
Min Deviation: 0.43
Deviation added per shot: 0.22 (2.5 max)
Dev Stand/Crouch/Prone: 1.3/1.2/1.0
Deviation Zoomed Mod: 0.8

The SCAR-H IS better at spraying than this weapon, it has lower recoil, and lower deviation added per shot. This has better deviation, so teh SCAR-H is better for Auto, F2000 is better for semi auto.

I dont care what the stats say, in combat is where I make my distinctions.
F2000 > SCAR-H in my opinion. I've done far more damage with f2000 than scar-h, AND if you look at my stats, I dont use GL that much. In a standard session as assault I'll use maybe 1 or 2 nades, so I aint some noobtoober.

personally I think the new medic unlock, the g36somethingorother is the best weapon..

Its hideously accurate and the 3round burst is devastating.

It hasnt been mentioned much tho.. I wonder why

I couldnt agree more man. such a powerful and accurate weapon to use, makes the medic class an absolute joy to play. Best gun for me so far, and I find it funny that I dont really play the SF class anymore in the SF expansion haha
