Is there any way to get easy commander points?

I searched plenty differnt threads relating to this subject and i havent found any. Anyways, Im trying to get my vet. CO. badge and I cant manage to get this many points! is there any easy way to earn commander points fast?

all u need if i am correct is 1000 global commander points and so many minutes IAR. all that does is take time.

saying "easy commander points" is kid of redundant. as a commander doing commander duties you get no more points if you were the commander and takin a poo the whole round. thats kind of generalized because the commander can help keep his squad alive and knowing where the bad guy is so that gets you more points in the long run. what i do to get big scores... join a 64 player map thats around a fourth full, uav the crap out of the other team. only artillery when your teams tickets are below or close to the other teams (artillery helps kill masses of people but the kills dont add to the average players points in the round so the less artillery you do the more kills for your team but if you dont win you dont get the massive X2 bonus in the end so only artillery when your losing or about to start losing) keep your assets going, if you see a vehicle whoring a spawn (****es me off but it gets me points so i'm a jackass) hit him up with a supply drop.

if your whooping the crap out of the other team and the tickets arent even close just go play, forget about the uav and artillery and let the other team scramble around capping flags, your going to win anyway, get the points while your at it.

yeah all of this is cheesy and lame and pathetic but he did ask how to get easy commander points, not how to get easy commander points and be ethical while at it.

You get one commanderpoint for everytime a teammate has killed an enemy that is spotted by the commander or UAV. So follow a squad in a chokepoint and spot everything nearby. And don't forget to keep the UAV always online

Practice. Spot. Scan. Constant Uav's. Dont Arty team. Time arty. Give supply drops when requested and alert team if supply drop or arty is available ect..

Theres not really an easy way, unless you play a kharkand map and arty the **** out of everything.

Actually.

If you want easy points, don't drop arty on anyone (because that's 2 points per dead enemy someone on your team is'nt getting), and try to draw out the round as long as possible.

I think I need some sort of auto-response script to reply every time someone claims you get points when people are killed that were spotted by you. Here we go again kiddies:

Aaaaaand...relax.

Commander score is based on the average score of your team. Do a great job as commander, and your team will do better, get more points, and thus you'll get more points. In a very roundabout way, if you spot people, and that helps your team find them and kill them, their score will go up and so yours will too. But the relationship is important.

Sorry if I've caused offense, but that rumour really ticks me off. And it causes annoying commanders to spend the entire round hitting the 'spot' command 50 times per second, instantly driving their team insane. :p

Actually, you will get less points if you are an awesome commander, because your team smacks the enemy, which means less time for things like revive, flag caps, repair etc points to jack up their totals, and then yours.

True, if your team is literally raping the enemy, you get far less points than when your team and the opposing team have a "tug-of-war" close round game. Yet you get even far less points if your team is getting raped, not to mention losing that 2x bonus.

yeah once i was on wake island, we got two good pilots then we had some players that really listen to the commands, the USMC never got a single flag on our island. so i ended up with 33 pts as the commander on china.(after x2, yes we won).

AHHHHHHHH! HicRic, i'm in the same boat as you. so freakin annoying!

think about this people, you can easily figure out your wrong by launching your UAV around a bunch of bad guys being attacked by your team then watching your commander score NOT go up. or drop artillery on a bunch of guys and watch your commander score NOT go up. so simple yet so misunderstood, i dont get it, must be the same people that bought the expansion...

ha ok so i'm an ass, incase your wondering where your commander score is, its in the center at the very top of your commander screen

I think the biggest problem is that one person hears it, another tells it, and everyone just passes it on without noticing it's wrong. Just trying to do my part to correct the issue.

of course, if you team trashes the other team you won't get so many points, but you'll get through rounds faster. It's all a matter of balance-if the game lasts ages, you'll get bored and you'll probably get lots of points, but not many per minute, if you catch my drift. Then again, rounds that zip by will gain you lots of little packets of points too. Needs reasonable length rounds really.

Just keep playing, you'll get there in the end. I quite like being commander, and have received many 'thanks' or "good job"'s from my teams, which is the best part of the job to be honest! Doing well and people appreciating it and communicating with you. It's back to the whole teamwork thing again: BF2 is fantastic when you have a great team working together and communicating.

Yeah he's right now that I see it. Theres a difference between being a good commander and getting a lot of points.

arty usually kills enemy right away if you hit them

any dead enemy takes away one ticket

enemy ticket reach zero your (commander) score double
