In your recommendation to "Make BF2 a High Priority Application"...is it the intent to use the .bat file to launch the game? Or is the .bat file passive and you can use your normal shortcut to launch the game?

thanks for these tips..just one question...on another forum the tip for the punkpuster tip.shows theres a space between sleep and 500..in yours theres no space...which one is the correct typing?

To thread-starter and everyone else: First of all thank-you for this guide. Secondly: My BF2/SF performance is fine. Sure I would like to improve FPS but if everything is working fine, is it wise to start 'fooling around' with all these tweaks - including deleting all the drivers?

If you're happy with your performance, don't bother tweaking.

Tweaking is for people who love to get as much performance as possible and isn't for the faint of heart
