How do people do that? They make their name and chat text bigger and change the color. How is it done??!

idk how to change the size but for orange text follow this steps:
- go to documents and settings\yourname\my documents\battlefield 2\profiles\global.con
- theres a line for the prefix, change it so it looks like that:
GlobalSettings.setNamePrefix "§C3 P"

save the file, join any server and your name is orange.
note: your nametag shows §C3 P yourname but text messages and scoreboard are orange

Seriously, this has to be one of the lamest things in the game, it's not cool and will get you booted from 90% of the server out there, especially the ones with the huge names.

yea yea. i dont like that too. i dont care if someones name appears in orange or whatever, but when its a big font it sucks. but dont ask me, im not playing that often..

btw, i think §C is enough, no need to write 3 P.

the big font is the most annoying thing in the world. i know how to do it, and i'm not sharing because it's THAT annoying. honestly, are u a bunch of high school girls who deprive attention?

lmfao you know damn well you don't have a clue how to do it... if you did, you'd be either giving it away to get yourself + reputation, or selling it on eBay or something :laugh:

Actually, it's not difficult to find out how to do it (I do actually know), but for the reasons NVSProdigy outlined above, I'd rather spoon my eyes out than give it to anyone who thinks its 'cool' to use it.

It's just another of the annoying 'features' that I hope will be fixed soon.

Give the children something else to do.

It wont get fixed because they need it to mark the orders, accept, yes, whatever with orange color. Thats why they took the |c first. Too many people abused it, it was disabled with patch 1.01 or 1.02 but they still need a function to make the text orange so they decided to use the new code. If this will be abused too much they might remove it, but there will be another way to colorize text orange. I say: i dont care because it doesnt affect gameplay much.
