    anyone know how to change the game to Dx 8 w/o going into the game?

    The technologies implied use directx 9c I don't think you can force it to revert back to DX8.

        Basically just goto C:/Program Files/EA Games/Battlefield 2/

        Find the "BF2.exe" file in there and re-name it (for example, bf2highframerate.exe). You will need to change any desktop icons accordingly by right clicking and selecting properties and changing the target to whatever you renamed it.

        This doesn't change it to DX8 it just makes it so that your graphics card cannot ID the game and put a profile that is pre-coded on it.

                well i have


                P4 2.0GHz
                640mb of ram
                ati 9200se80 128mb ( i know its crap and its not spose to work with it but before i could go in to the game but now when ever i open BF2 it goes to a blue screen saying sumthing about shadowing and memory
