Ribbons/ medals disabled?

After searching various posts some people have asked if for some reason EA decided to diable all SF ribbons?

from what i understand yes they have disabled the ribbons and medals. maybe unlock them in a future patch or something

I just got one of the SF badges, along with one of the SF ribbons earlier today.

As far as I can tell, nothing's been changed since yesterday, the day before, or the day 1.12 was released.
