bf2 spec ops weapon upgrades

is it on a different timeline than in bf2 regular....i mean you have to rank up in bf2 to get a weapons upgrade is it the exact same for spec ops????

I was able to unlock a lot. Then again I had about 28,000 points worth of unlocks. I think it depends on your points and how many original unlocks you had. You have to have all of the regular BF2 vanilla unlocks to get the advanced SF unlocks for that class.
